Complex Gauge Cluster Project...

I know alot of people have taken apart their dash and changed the gauge color, Hvac controls and whatnot, but has anyone changed the color of the Console lights? Example: Turn signal indicator, Parking brake indicator, Low fuel indicator

I plan on converting the dash lighting to blue (Surprise!), but i would like to do this while im at it, if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Im assuming that its just a colored film that gives it the amber color, but im pretty sure i could remove this if need be...

Also, would Led's work due to the fact that light dispersal isnt really needed? I would love to incorperate some UV into my light scheme, but i would hate to have to look at it constantly on (hurts the eyes), so turn signal indicators in UV (green sux) would be perfect. If anyones done this, pictures would be positively awsome.

PS. If anyone knows where i could get the plastic running light thing (Orange Surfboard shaped part in headlight) in clear, let me know, ive searced everywhere!

chances are that the lights for all the things you listed are just some LEDs, you could scrape away coloring on the printed part of the cluster (if present), and just cover the LED with some colored cellophane. that would be my approach anyway.

Cellophane always dims the light (even if just a little) and doesnt catch the same effect of UV leds. I plan to put UV for the Cig lighter, and if it didnt match it would bug me. If you get a chance take a look at some in person, its like staring into a black light, not just purple, but just...weird... kind of the same effect of a laser, it has a constantly changing light paturn that is visible in the light distribution. Thanks for the advice though...

UV would definitely be cool, be sure to post some pictures if you get your car rigged up like this!

I plan on it, next paycheck im getting tint, and the bulbs for the interior, (got OEM mudguards and xenon white bulb for Headlights, runing lights, Sidemarker, License plate lights and Reverse lights this check. havent installed anything yet, but when I do pictures will soon follow!)

What does everyone think of all that lights that can legally be white being Xenon? Im going to install them all soon whenever i get time off from school and work, so I'll post pics up when i do.

^Well, some states are easiler on such topics as Xexon lighting than in other states. I run a Xexon side markers, parking lights, turn signals, fog lights, and Silverstars (probably Xexon too). I can get away with it here, but other states might look down on that...

I will, anyone know about the turn signal indicators though? (and all the other indication lights in the dash as well, for that matter)
