Exterior Paint
Hello everybody.
I have an apex silver 2003 OZ edition, and im purchasing a body kit and will be getting the car repainted...Now im certain looking from car to car there are different "whites" per say when it comes to paint color varations. I would like to know (yes i saw whicked white and pealr white are different ones) I've looked on the evo show and shine no paint codes
also, how would a paint code allow any body show to replicate that color??
thanks!!

yes a paint code is the exact color of the car, although its hard to make it match the car exactly but a good job you wouldnt be able to notice, or if u get the whole car repainted (still confused about your question) everything will be an exact match to that color

I have a apex silver car lancer. I want to get it repainted white. whicked white to be exact. I couldn't find a paint code for it... now for example if that paind code is "x123" would a body shop know based on that code that they can mix paint to look like whicked white?

Don't use a copycay color for a color change. Go to a good body/paint shop and tell them to spray the whole car white, give it 2 coats of a very light pearl (whatever color you like most), 3 coats of clear... wet sand and buff. Make that car shine. It will look primarily white, with just a hint of color from an angle.
Or, if you really want... here are some of the Mitsubishi pearl paint codes.
W13
WHITE PEARL (This was the white used on 2002-2005 Lancer)
W23
WHITE PEARL
W38
PLATINUM WHITE PEARL
W69
DOVER WHITE PEARL
W75
GLACIER WHITE PEARL
Oh yeah, minor note. Pearl colors are normally tri-coat paint jobs, so they cost a bit more than just a plain base-clear. But, they look really nice.

Or, if the body shop has a good computerized mix bank (even chip books can tell, but take longer) you can give them the year, make, and model that the color was used on and they should be able to pull up a list and then find it by name.
