I agree. I've been trying to find some mesh that I like for a while with no luck. However, it will eventually have mesh.

Did the stock intercooler bolt right up with the RRM kit? I have an RRM intercooled kit sans intercooler so I'm looking for one.

looks sexy!

i wouldnt put mesh.... if anything... get the ebay intercooler, looks really nice and is only $150

if you do the mesh route make sure you put black, keep it rice free =-)

that looks wicked nice. my buddy and i installed a FMIC on his WRX and we had to do a bit of chopping on the bumper and lip kit he has... we should have hired you, haha.

It does bolt right up. You do need to remove the crash bar though and get some 45* couplers since the end tank inlet/outlets are angled down.

+1 for filling the holes - would also have been a good time to rig a side mount license plate.

I would definitely do mesh (if only to keep small animals from impacting the IC). Looks awesome, though. Great bit of DIY.

I was just gonna say this after reading more posts. The mesh isnt just for looks. It protects things from impacting whats behind the bumper and an IC is a fairly important thing to protect. I would get a fairly tight mesh and paint it black. If and when you do add mesh. You should try to find a way to make it so it comes out easy so you can clean the IC. Mabey simple zip-ties or something.
