AzN_Enthusiast's 05 ES story

Well, I have an 05 Lancer ES, bought it brand new back in june 2005, as of now 100% of my mods have been exterior and visual, (until this month, getting megan coils =] and soon some slotted rotors)

My car has evolved a lot..

Back when my buddy was fresh off the lot (and for most of 2005, 1st half 06)

then some lady reversed into my front bumper and i got a body kit... many fun times (end 06- mid 07)

oh btw I got it from the money she gave me (along w/ my brother's rims for $130)!!

*tear*

also did my headlights (mediocrely too, i will replace someday)

then yet another lady hit me, this time from behind, and i did not get compensated... sep 07

took off the bumper and put the stock on, got a lip but didnt put it on, it didnt have the same width (up and down) as the side skirt (too short)

.... I left the back bumper stock (and all high too, compared to the rest of the car), and worked on interior..

my 1st mod (other than debadging) and it stayed like this till this month.. it was blue but getting prepped for black paint which was what I did this month

oh yeah, ralliart seats (the color in the photo is misleading, since the material is suede; the interior of the car is really dark now, compared to when it was tan)

as for the outside and the mismatch of sides to rear.. well I returned it to stock (except for the front, which was damaged from the 1st lady who hit me)

I WAS gonna get my stock front fixed the next day after taking off my sides,

but God said "nay fool" and brought out the winds, (if youre in eastern socal inland empire area, you know what I mean) and it blew the bumper across the yard, over rocks

so I guess I can scratch that idea of returning to full stock and lowering the car a lot... I was gonna get OEM mudguards to match the side height to the front height, but i dunno.. thats my story for now..

oh and Ill be getting the coilovers by this or next week

You can still get the front bumper fixed up. Just looks like some deep scratches, which could be filled with a couple of good layers of primer if sanded right. That way you can fill the front bumper holes from the license plate too.

oh the holes on the license plate, thats the rear bumper, and I already switched it out. the front bumper is caved in on the opposite side (passenger side-ish corner) and is not shown there..

so now that your body kits off...except the front what are you going to do with the body? leave stock or another body kit/lip kit?

yeah I decided to take off my side skirts since they just did not match the rear even with a lip (if I put it on)..

from here I was thinking of keeping the front bumper since the stock one's banged up, .. Imma wait till I lower my car next week first to act though, but there's 2 options for me:

Put mudguards (color matched) to match the height sides/rear with the dipping front bumper,

or put on that rear lip and get shorter side skirts (either these ones I saw on at rrm or ralliart)
