Yeah for those with the 08s and Nav: Doesn't it suck that we can't use the BLUE theme because it just doesn't match ANYTHING in the car haha. At least the 09s can use the blue and have it match kind of.

i never drove the 2.0 actually, so i cant really compare them.
the 2.4 with a manual tranny is all I need, having a turbo'd X would be awesome, but in my price range this is fast enough and has all the options I want.

^^ Not yet, still trying to treat it nice, only have 500 miles or so on it. I'll do a 0-60 sometime soon though and let you guys know. This is my first manual car too, so I probably wont have a great time.
I read that it is in the 7.2 sec range for the 09 GTS manual..

OK i was debating if i should pick up the 08 or the 09. more than likely it will be the 09 thanx. Iwent to 2 dealerships here and none of them has a manuel, u r lucky. they are rare.

Completely different. The 2.4L is a dream to drive. I owned a 08 GTS for 11 months until it was totaled, and now have the 09. To me, the response and overall performance of the 09 was improved ten fold. I'm not saying that the 08 was bad by any means. It's just that the 09, IMO, is better
Granted, I didn't have any mods on my 08 nor do I have any tracks nearby to do time runs. However, I can tell you that the 09 is a completely different animal.
The weather is crappy all weekend. I'll have pics up soon though!

To bad there havent been more professional reviews of the car yet. I really think Mitsu did a great job with the 2.4L GTS. They could sell a lot of these if they get the word out and get some good press about it.
Everyone said the 2008s were grreat but just didnt have that extra power everyone was looking for. But now the 09s have changed that and are really an amazing car.
Also when it comes to Mitsu being known for bad resale value, I feel like that could also be changing now that the new lancers have such strong appeal. In 4 years when I resell my 09 Lancer GTS, I feel like it will retain its value pretty well...

Thanx for the info. Now i got to find a manual to test drive. I liked the 08 but i felt it didn't have the pick up i was hoping for. But i know Mitsu's 2.4L's are pretty good (04-06 RA).
