tinted depo tails...
I love my depo tails but the seam of glue or what not is painfully obvious around the edges. Separating a black car and the black housings, it looks even worse
So I wanted to cover this a bit. I started by taping off what I didn't want painted (yes I took it off of the car for this)
Don't ask me why I came up with that exact design, just thought it looked good. Next I painted it with about 5 coats of tint spray, which seemed safer than actual paint. They only recommend you use 3 but its not covering anything important so I wanted it very dark.
And I think they turned out great. There's a couple of blemishes on one of the tails where the tape didn't stay down completely, but I think it'll be easily fixed.
What do you guys think? I'll get some better pictures than these crap cell phone pics if you'd like.

I was actually thinking about it but the last time I tried to use clear coat it was a disaster. When I painted my old grill it looked real grainy, just didn't turn out at all. Would you suggest trying anyway? could I spray the whole light with a clear coat or would I have to tape it off again?
