Aerocatch hood pins installed
Havnt posted shots of my car in a while. I got a little worried about my seibon hood latch breaking and the hood mashing my car up with all the stories ive been hearing lately so I got some aerocatch hood pins from Deft Racing. I have wanted pins for a while because of this (not because they look good because I hate hood pins) and these to the job while not looking too bad. I had to install them in the direction they dont recomend for w/e reason to make them work w/o ton of custom bracketry. I think they turned out pretty good. Opinions? Heres some pics of the install.

Both sides. they match up on either side of the hood. I kinda slacked on pics because it was dark and very late when I finished but this gives a good idea. Ill get full day shots soon I hope.

other things to mention. They are very flat. I was worried that since I had to mount them on a curved part of the hood that there would be gaps. But either they flexed the CF or the latches themselves flexed but it sits perfectly flush. Im very happy with them. I have guys I know ordering them now too to replace there old ugly pins. These things are pretty nice. Only downside is the huge hole you have to cut. Theres really no going back with these things.

Yeah, thats correct. Pop pins, then pop hood... I left latch on but they sell them with locks built in with a key so you could actually remove the latch completely and just use the pins to hold the hood and still be able to lock it. I just liked the cleaner look of the pins w/o the key hole so I got these and left the latch.
