Port & Painted Intake Manifold

I had a little project I was doing the whole week. It only took so long because I painted it 2 coats everyday so I won't have problems with paint later.

First, I cleaned it with TB and IM cleaner. That stuff really smells

Second, I gasket matched the runners with permanent marker.

Third, I started porting.

Fourth, I taped up the Manifold to get ready for paint.

Next, started painting.

Last, I installed.

I notice pretty good gains from this, especially the low end torque.
Installation was cake, just make sure you label what goes where.

I have the stock Intake Manifold for sale...

I can give it to you stock or Port & Painted.

Well there is no need to polish the manifold.
Port & Polish is more for the Cylinder Head and Exhaust Manifold.
Hey you're local, if you want I can help you do this fun project.

Looks good, looks like the exhaust side would be next.

Thanks, but I'm going Turbo so I might do a little to the Exhaust Manifold. Maybe just gasket match it.

I used my Dad's drill, the bits I have don't fit a Dremel.
I say it's better because I can control the RPM's as I go.

Well there is a difference when you polish the manifold. The point is to reduce the turbulence of air as much as possible. A bunch or rough spots will decrease how fast the air can get to the motor.

True that but I didn't leave it too rough.
