alryte so ive been wanting to get an intake for my 03 lancer LS but i jsut found out that for california residents the intake had to be carb legal. i wan jsut wondering if anyone can tell me how you can tell whether an intake is carb legal or not. i found these two intakes for cheap and jsut wondering if there carb legal. someone let me know. thanks

for my 03 i got aem cai.. being auto i just used the upper peice.. and i passed smog with just that aem one is carb legal

 

just replace it when its time for smog. how difficult is that?

 

you have to have a CARB exempt number on the part. as far as i know only AEM and INJEN offer a CARB sticker for there intakes.
