heres mine w/ 17's:
and 16's:
and mines not lowered either....
when i had 17's i had alot of trouble w/ potholes and had to replace 2 rims... the ride also sucked
my 16's are much better i have 195/50-16 tires on them

i run 14's on mine haha...ya...they're aftermarket. The car is lowered around 2.25" and i prefer the lighter weight to size. I'm sure however that you could find some lighter 17's out there.

so im thinking for 16's a good tire size would be a 195/55/16. does anyone know if the tire will be like thick enough so that the rim wont be more prone to breaking and what not?

isnt it if theres more tire then u feel less of the bumps on the road? i have low profile with the 205 but i believe i can go 215 on 17s? they were just more expensive. Some one correct me if im wrong. I would go with either 16s or 17s just start looking what kind of rims you want and see what application you can get them in.
