how can i put a LEDas a shift light...i dont want to get another tach...i remember somebody said that they made their CEL as their shift light......but i want to put like a LED somewhere where i can b the only one to notice it

 

that is a cool idea... i dunno if i would want me CEL to be that light, then u would never know if your engine needed to be checked out not.

Try sticking a little led someone where in the middle of the stock TACH ... that would be cool.

i dont knwo how u would set that up though.

Nope, I have an Auto so no need to make my CEL a shift light.

But I AM working on getting widespread LED's to light up the gauges instead of the incredibly dim stock bulbs.

 

Maybe you can explain this to me. Is it my understanding that you want a light to tell you when to shift? If I am understanding correctly then my question to you is, why?

I just listen to my car to tell me when to shift. Again I apologize if my question seems in ignorance, please fill me in.

to kinda act like a tach shift light...most of the time i cant head the engine cus my radio is on...plus during a race or when your just doind to many things at once its easier to just wait for a light to come on, so that you know when to shift...plus i like to be as unique as i can...

 

I understand now. Sounds cool. You know it wouldn't be half bad to have something like that now that you mention it.
