Re: Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid...

That is just gorgeous! Chris, I think there is no doubt on these forums that you have the hottest Lancer in the US.

Is there a way you can adjust the spring (i.e. bending or stressing) to make it lighter? If not, see if you can put springs from a different car on it. Like a Mirage or anything where the spring looks like it has a lighter pull or would be less stretched once installed on a Lancer.

Here is a shot of the latch that bolted right up to the lid...fitment was perfect, just had to do a little minor adjustments on the spaces on the side of the lid so they matched up...

Also in the other pic you can see how the mounts of the trunk lid match of perfectly, only tuff thing was drilling new holes for the wing mounts

So would this fit the ES and LS also?

i would have to say if Mitsubishi really went out and had a different trunk lid made for the ES and LS compared to the OZ, then they made a bad move...i am about 99.99999999% sure it will fit.

Yes it will fit. A lot of people who wanted no spoiler on their OZ just swapped trunk lids with ES owners who wanted the spoiler, so it's been done before.
