I am falling in love with air bags. but I don't anything about them.
so if somebody could help me out with these quistions that be great.
1. how much is a set?
2. I heard if you have airbags you can't race anymore because they rip?
3. how easy is it to maintain?
4. any kind of down side to them when you get airbags?
5. how would the ride quality be with air bags?

but the other airbags save lives.

 

Seat belt saved me more than those damn airbags that put a cut on my chin and burns on my arm a couple of weeks ago

airbags...the ride better than hydraulics! lol u can still race...i think they are nice, i saw them on a grandam(used to have a grandam so i visited grandam boards etc) but they were like $1k for him and he had to custom make it all cuz no one makes parts for 92-95 grandams besides like 4 body kits....other than that, grandam people are on there own...kinda weird me owning a lancer and having more than 2 sites to buy body kits from let alone intakes/exhausts/headers etc, lmao

 

I don't mean that kind of airbags. I mean the airride. the ones that you control your ride by swiches.

 

uhh, he's talking about suspension air bags, not srs airbags. To answer the question I haven't seen them on lancers but had some friends with bags on their mini trucks and yes you do have to be careful with driving, weight in car, other things, but at least in their trucks the ride improved, quality wise, at least in mine and their opinion.

i think hydrolix is much better, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think u can race with hydro? and the sound is awesome..

 

i have them on my lancer and i love them....soooo much fun. and the systems out nowadays are awesome and ride pretty good.

there is no maintence really...every like 2 years you have to buy a rebuild kit for the air cylindars for the rear cuz the seals wear out. but thats about it.

 

so how much did you pay in total zlancer? did you install it yourself

 

do you have airshocks or airbags because I think they are different.
how much did you pay for them?
can you corner like you did before?

 

They are different. Air shocks just alough you to raise or lower your ride for looks and it's only by about an inch or two, plus you can only raise them at a gas station with an air pump and lower them just like you would let air out of a tire. I had 'em on my old mustang just so I could raise the back up an give it a more aggressive muscle look. They run about $250

Airbags are what zlancer has. Check out his profile and you can see pics of his ride. They usually start around $1000

 

do they make a set for lancer and if yes who makes it or may be they are universal.
