Painting textured interior pieces
I see most of you guys only paint the smooth parts of your dash because most of you have the OZ and are lucky enough to have it in black
Well I was just wondering if anybody has painted the textured dash pieces? Any special process for doing it?

i have i have!!
all i did was take some 500grit sand paper...sanded them a tad bit and than i put 3 coats of primer, than 3 coats of paint, than 3-4 coats of clear coat.
i even did the center console armrest cover...and its been like 2months and it still isn't cracking...and i had a lot of people tell me it'd crack..i painted it the same as the smooth piece. and the smooth piece looks 10x's better but it all looks awesome i painted mine "Dark Metallic Blue" from autozone

I painted my whole entire interior including the full dash...but i took an electic sander to it with some 300 grit sandpaper and smoothed the textured stuff down. Then made it ultra smooth with some 1500 grit. It gives the impression that the interior panels are made of fiberglass...

For the guage piece do I have to prim that or can I just paint it?
I was thinking of using goo gone to get all the armoral off and then painting and then clear coating it. Do you guys think it will crack?
