How do you know when your car has the perfect clearcoat?

ive been waxing my car like hell the last two days. i put 3 coats on so far all over the car and about 10 coats on the mirrors cause they are so easy to do i want more deep shine tho! I got Mother's Carnuba Wax today and I used that on the final coat. It's a little bit better than the cheap Turtle Wax I was using but I could use more shine..any tips kareem?

That's it... eat future bishes!

Oh and for those who wanna know how to make their car shine so deeply like that demo above.... you gotta get the car re-painted

The clearcoat is the one that allows the car to reflect everything so vividly like that... but stock, our car does not have a clearcoat (which is why the paint is weak and chips easily).

Melaz, yes the evo's have the same paint problem... they havent complained about it yet cuz it's a lil too early for the problem to start being widespread.

This is NOT true. I have gotten into many arguements on here with people about Mitsu paint. The car does in fact come with a clearcoat from the factory. Many argue our cars dont have a clear, that they have a single stage paint. This is untrue. Single stage has clear blended into it and is applied all at once.

Fact is if the color is metallic on the car, it at least has to be a two stage paint. The base coat is layed down, then a clear over it. Trust me, after having this arguement with quite a few people on here I enlinsted the help of my good friend who has been painting cars for many years, as well as a new body man I met through my friends F-body club. I know for a fact my 2002 Lancer OZ painted in Thunder Grey METALLIC does in fact have a clear coat. I believe all Lancers have a clear, except for the Rally Red Evos. Not trying to start crap, just provide info.....

Im saying it doesnt have a TRUE clearcoat.... true clearcoat is that which is applied OVER the paint base coat. I like to call the clearcoat mixed in "lazyman clear". Lazyman clear in my book isnt even real clearcoat. What is the purpose of clearcoat? To protect the paint. What good is it doing for the paint if it's mixed in? It has to be applied over the paint after it had dried. At least 1 layer, the least I do is 3 (on all the things i do outside the car).
