hey guys! does anyone have one of the $50-60 cold air intakes off ebay?? i got a cheap ebay sri for my eclipse and had a couple problems with it... but im kinda poor right now.. and those are lookin nice haha.. if i buy the air bypass with it.. is there a reason they would suck too bad??

 

as long as it fits your car it shouldnt cause problems. just make sure your mas air flow sensor wont brake from stress. thats about a $600 peice.

get the one from xoxo parts. its like 90 buck shipped. u got to work a little to fit it in but it fits.

 

does it run good.. have you had any problems with it?

 

no problems at all. sounds the same as my friends AEM. for fraction of the price. had a couple of leftover parts. the filter can be easily upgraded to a better one. worth every penny.

 

hey one more question did you get the Bypass valve thang.. or do you really need one of those?

 

i dont have one. works fine without it.

maybe a mod should change the thread title to CAI not CIA. quite amusing i know, but really misleading.

 

when I first saw this tread title, I thought Ebay has a new sort of system that the CIA was involved in....

 

AEM, Injen, and ebay intakes are all the SAME!! all thats diff is MAYBE the filter, they are exactly the same shape and make the same sound. all u will get from a CAI is maybe 3hp more if that...

 

Nope. All of those companies will not buy a lancer just to make an intake so the basically try copy the product of the companies that have had a lancer to test fit the pipe in.

 

but like i said there is no difference at all.....
