so i bought a carbon fiber trunk off of ebay and i thought i was getting a great deal... when i recieved it i realized that the jerk who had sold me his used trunk had originally put pins on it (yes like hood pins just on a trunk!) .. therefore the trunk had holes in it.. the holes are very small but they bug the hell out of me!. what i was wondering is if anybody knows a way to kinda cover-up these annoying little holes... any suggestions?

 

Well... you could get a CF-looking decal to put over them.. might work.

 

Or go to home depot and get some black plastic plugs, they wont look so bad on CF.

 

I would get a plug and put a sticker ofver it.

 

I would go with the black plugs.. It wont look too bad... and its a temp fix till you can find something perm...Good luck

 

Yes you can patch holes in carbon fiber, but not with any tools you have and it is a fairly complex process. I work for the DOD and design the tools used for these types of repairs (bullet holes, etc.) on aircraft. Trust me, this is not something you want to attempt yourself. Get the plugs like these guys have suggested.
