Anybody else have the GT hood from Accolade? Did it look like this?

Anybody else have the GT hood from Accolade? Did it look like this?
I got the GT hood from Accolade in the Evo 7 group buy and the GT hood I got with it doesn't fit at all. It won't even latch all the way. Has anyone else bought this hood and had a problem like this? Dave@Accolade, is this hood supposed to be hard to fit or did I get a bad one?

My VIS carbon fiber hood would not latch when I installed it. I had to to adjust the alignment of it.

No, I'm pretty sure it's not gunna fit no matter what. I should have just gotten the E7 hood. This is what I get for trying to be different

No, it comes primed orangey/yellow from accolade

thats accolade for you, im suprised you were expecting something that fit after all the stories on this forum.


can you redrill the holes and change the alignment of the hood?

Man, I've tried getting it to latch withough even attaching it to the hinges and still no go. I don't know if I got a bad hood, maybe it warped or something. I know the grill that came with it was warped. If Accolade makes this right I'll still stand by them in thinking their a great kit manufactuer. Everything else went on great so I don't know. I really thought that their new molds had fixed their problems but maybe I got an old hood. I know that I'm one of the few people that have the GT hood.

maybe we can exchange the GT hood for the E7 Hood.. thats what the majority get and goes on like a glove...

But dont give up on the GT hood !!

h8, I had the same problem with a customer's GT Hood once before. Do you have an SRI? If so, it may be hitting the underside of the hood and that could be what is keeping it from closing. I have a couple other ideas of what could be in the way, so PM me and I will send you pics on how to get that hood to fit like it should

I really think I just got a bad hood. Every company that sell body kits has one or two come out of the mold wrong. Theres plenty of people that are happy with Accolade kits.

Dave, I would trade for the Evo7 hood but I don't have any extra money to pay for shipping back. I could take a hammer to it and take pics so you know I'm not selling it or anything. Yeah, I really like the GT hood and thats what sucks.

Is there an Evo 7 hood thats got the grill attached like the GT hood or are they all shorter so that you have to mold the grill to the bumper?
