More pix... this **** is goin by very slow cuz im getting tied up in other more important stuff. Also im stuck cuz i need a hand stretching the fabric cuz it's not too easy to do it alone on such a big enclosure. Here are some more pix, trim ring is mounted and upper part ready to be stretched and fiberglassed:

Just curious if you have tried lost foam for building a box. You shape a piece of foam to what you want and glass it. Cut the hole for the speaker and pour some acetone in and it disolves the styrofoam. folks have been doing this for rc planes etc for a while. I built a pair of speakers this way and it was really fast.

Here is an rc glider done this way: http://www.favonius.com/soaring/lost_foam/lost_foam.htm

BTW, looking good

cool to see everything in all its stages, my grandfather has his own upholstery business forever, and theres a tool you can use to grip the fabric to make it super tight basically as tight as it will go without ripping it), that may be useful to you, but you also need to use an air powered gun to staple or nail the fabric down, i dont think glue would work

Kreme - im not sure if I see the final vision - what is going to be down by the jack? Are you taking that out? If not, your curve is going to be down to there, then you're going to panel it off?

I don't understand that area...I can give ya some help with strecthing, based on the answer...

Also, why are you using T-Shirt material? Fleece gives you a WAY better curve

But the material that gives spandex it's elasticity doesnt hold resin as well as fleece. It will work but it will develop cracks with the bass.

But, you DO want SOME sagging...after all, sagging is what give it the shape...

As far as it cracking, it won't because hes going to reinforce it from behind...

You are going to reinforce it, arent you?
