what do u think of this idea

i have this type of paint lying around
paint

what baout painting the dash area around the gauges with this stuff? it looks cool once dried and it would be a unique look. but i still wasnt sure. i have the blackish grey color paint

Lol...you could get some of those outdoor rock speakers to go with it. Turn your interior into a jungle or something. Put in a waterfall and stuff too.

Years ago, a friend used that stuff on his dash and custom speaker insets. It's pretty durable and looked okay, but it kind of cheapened the look of the car. So while you're right that it'd give your car a unique look, it might be the kind of look that gets really old in a year. Also, even if you pull the dash pieces out for a long time after painting, your car is still likely to reek like paint for a long time. Just thought I'd give you my two cents, having seen it used in a car before.

stick a peice of vinyl over one of the dash peices, and give it a try! that way if you don't like it, you can just take off the vinyl.
