Has anyone put low profile tires on their stock OZ wheels?
In an effort to continue to save money for my turbo, I started to look at getting low profile tires for my stocks OZ wheels instead of buying rims.
I looked in tirerack, and found two sets of 195/45/15's for our wheels. Come spring time, I might do this.
Have any of you guys put low pro's on your stock OZ's?? Let me know.

Low profile...That would be a bad idea. Your rolling diameter would change drastically. Your speedometer and odometers would be way the **** off, and your ride would suck even more than a 17" on the same profile tire. I'd recommend either buying about the same size tire on the stock wheel or buying all new wheels and tires. I don't know what you're looking into for replacement wheels, but, assuming you don't want something heavy and chrome, there are tons of inexpensive wheels out there that don't weigh a ton and will serve you well.
On the other hand, the tire you mentioned may not be THAT low profile. I don't know offhand the difference in diameter, but if it's not huge then it's probably doable. Still, I'd recommend new wheels and tires so that you can 1. Use a wider tire, 2. not look like you're rolling around with wheels from a Radio Flyer, and 3. Maintain some semblance of comfort in your ride.

SO much for the low profile idea. I was looking into the katana Vr-6's that wheelmax has (17X7) with what would be 205/40/17 tires.

whats wrong with low profile tires? I thought they improve handling since theres less role on the tires? dunno if I worded that right... less woble from left to right?!?
