no doubt this is a good price.. but id rather spend a lil more for a better set.. good thing i asked around about em..

Dont forget to ask people that have them... Also, keep in mind, that alot of local tuner shops have real punks for owners/workers. They want you to buy top dollar, so they can make top dollar off you.... And if the guy you are talking to has 1500$ suspension on his car, he is probably going to talk **** about the lower cust part, even if it performs acceptionally for the price. Once you put your tiens on, come and visit me, ill let you drive mine after driving yours, then the only BAD thing will be the 500 bucks you DONT have :-P..

When mine break, ill agree w/ ya. Untill then, think of your tuner shops as car salesmen.... I have never been to a tuner shop. My tuner shop is evolutionm.net, no one knows anything about NEX here, you gonna trust a few tuner shops? or thousands of members?

PS, what did they say about them, seems like im not the only curious one... Bad things... define one of those bad things... or maybe all of them...

ok..heres the thing.. i always go to that place..to buy lil stuff for my car.. and they know 100% that i would never buy from them coz theya re expensive... 2 shops told me about it.. they said.. nex makes cheap stuff.. meaning.. they had several complains about em.. people..blowing it.. not only one customer..but maybe a good count..thast why they stopped dealing with nex.. i was really excited buying these.. but out of curiousity..coz this is the 1st time i heard about "NEX" i asked about it.. not all tuner shops are crappy.. i mean.. im pretty sure.. they are straight.. coz i asked him about the priceing on their teins.. and he told me.."its better off buying online... its cheaper than wut we charge.." with is obvious..coz shops needs profit too...

i mean..these are just some statements given buy people who ahd problems being a seller of this brand..

and yeah..i have installed teins in my buddys 03 lancer.. rides good..the basics.. i was surprised.. i mean.. its not that the nex would braek after a week..im just saying.. if it will make u feel a lil better getting a better brand.. for lil more money... id go for that.. not saying teins are the best.. but they are a good option.. considered nex for a while.. but i guess my mind changed.. goodluck on yours.. i hope u like it.. this is just a heads up on peeps planning to buy this.. just wanted to help a lil...

Basically that the shop he went to was a respectable one and they had received complaints about NEX. It comes down to whether you are willing to risk spending the money of an unknown like NEX, or whether you want the security of buying a set of Teins. Think of it like the ebay short shifters or the no-name electronics, sure you can get a 40$ short shifter or a 100$ TV from ebay, but are you willing to risk it not fitting/working right?

my ebay shifter works fine But the TV analogy is a better one for something like this. The shifter is a stick. The TV has parts that will wear out and can have problems. Same thing I'm sure with NEX. My followup question after "we heard some bad things" would be "what specifically have you heard? What have you seen?" At this point it's hearsay, to get you to buy another product. There may very well be issues, but then again maybe not.

Another quick example, to show the other side: Harbor Freight tools. Yes, the stuff is all from China/Russia. Yes, it costs about 25% of what an American name branded product would cost. But that name branded product's components are made in China and probably assembled in Mexico (which, thanks to NAFTA increases the overall North American gross domestic product, withthe laborers making a few dollars per day, and doesn't increase the GNP of the USA.... but more on that later). The only Americans that benefit are the guys in suits at DeWalt corporate that'll never even use the things. PLUS the fact that I've had HF tools last longer than some folks have name brand tools last, and I'm super hard on my shop equipment.

So sometimes you get what you pay for, other times you can get a bargain.

^^ I love Harbor Freight! Got my calipers there for super cheap .....sorry for off topic. We all know that you usually get what you pay for, but like with eboy's example, there are expceptions. Thats why only user reviews and what not will help us know for sure.
