anybody running....

anyone running a 15x7 wheel with a 35mm offset? if so what size tire you running? i was thinking a 215/50/15, tire calculator says it's the same height as my stockers just somewhat wider(wider is better). Neil@tirerack says it should be ok as long as i'm not lowered. so again, is anyone running this setup?

well the thing is for 215... you dont need 7 inch wheels it will allow the tire to sit flatter across but 215 and i think even 225 will sit on a 6 inch wheel... and i believe brian runs some 225 on his 15x6.5 rotas so you should be okay (and hes lowered)

thanks for the input guys. i'm thinking i might try just buying and mounting 2 tires first and putting them on the front then putting the car through the wringer (so to speak) and see if i have any rubbing issues. then take them and switch them to the back and do the same. that way if they do rub i'm only out 1/2 the money.what do you guys think?

I've seen some rota slipstreams that come 15x7, but they have some thing called Center bore, (I dunno what that really is), but I called the store and they told me that its usually for civics or some crap like dat, so he said it's best to go with the 15x6.5.

the center bore is the inside of the wheel (in the back, center) that basically is sized for fitment around the hub. which is why with some wheels you need "hub centric rings" to keep the wheel from vibrating at speed. most aftermarket wheels use something like a 73.1mm center bore. so that won't really be a issue. i dunno what that guy at the store meant, sounds like he didn't know what it was for sure either.LOL
