Confused about dropping!
Could someone help me out, im finally going to lower my oz, i've searched and searched and have found many helpfull suggestions but im still confused, im getting those Nex coilovers everyone's afraid to try, right now im stock height with 205/40/17's and i have serious problems with potholes, so i need more sidewall. i've seen everyone talking about dropping the car with different brand name springs and i was thinking eibach at first, but dont want to eventually kill my stock shocks, there seems to be different opinions on what tire size you should have, supposedly the best fit with no chance of rubbing is 205/45/17 i was looking to do 215/45/17 but again im dropping it with coilovers, anybody have this size tire with coilovers and if so is there any rubbing at all, the new rims im getting have a 42 offset, so i know im fine there, now my problem is what to wrap them in either 205/45/17 or 215/45/17
Thanks in advance

I just have spring w/ 205/45/17 mine rub a little bit when I turn all the way, but they are also snow tires, which are a little beefier, more defined shoulder. 205/45/17 is actually what is recommend for our car from the MAST fitment guid (fitment guide used by tire/wheel dealers). I wouldnt go w/ 215/45 because ur not only going wider but slightly taller as well

i have springs and 205/40/17 and i don't rub at all. i think the nex would be good to consider. no one has them yet, but i've talked to some local shops, and they are supposed to be good quality.
