You want the 2nd pic? Those are like the opposite of low profile.

yeah i want the tires to look like the second pic. Not the exact same brand and all, but just the way the sidewall looks... kinda rounded versus a flatter sidewall like the first.

in a 195/60-15 size but all i could find at the tire shop were tires that looked like the first pic....even with the stock tire size. Oh BTW the tires i was looking at were coopers....dunno if it makes a difference from brand to brand or what.. thanks for everyones help
the pictures won't change, they'll put the low-pro pic in just cause they think it looks cooler. Just order the correct size, and you'll be fine

If anyone knows if these tires are lo-pros or not, it would help me a lot. Thanks.
I am going to suggest you go with the Yokohama's. I have them now and I love them. They have lasted about 18,000 miles and need to be replaced. I am thinking about buying them again.

Personally, I loved the KH11s. I only had the car for 6 months after putting them on, but they were great tires.

To whomever wanted the higher profile tires, I made a mistake once before and put 205/60/15 tires on. I now have 205/55/15 but I just wanted to let you know the 205/60's will fit but they rub a bit on full lock turns. The thing with that size tire is that your speedo will run slower than your actual speed. I have 2 tickets to show for that.

The 205/55/15's I have do not have as tall a side wall but still give some width. They are only supposed to be off by less than 1mph at 70 on the speedo. (69.2)

im gonna go with the Yokohama AVS ES100's and leave the stock goodyears on the rear. Don't really have all the money in the world right now. Any drawbacks by doing this?

If you order the same size as stock (195/60/15), you won't have low profile. The 205/55/15 I have on mine look a tad more low profile than stock, but still not much. But as said above, it's more of a slang term, and most people will consider anything less than 50 aspect ratio to be "low profile". Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, and you won't have much of a problem mismatching the fronts and rears. The road feel might be a tad uncomfortable, but it won't be dangerous or detrimental. I personally prefer the same tires, but when money is tight, I only replace as needed.

okay i was thinking more about the performance than the comfort. I think giving up a little comfort is worth saving 140 dollars.

The higher profile tires will generally give you more comfort but less performance (more sidewall flex under hard cornering), while the low profile tires are a rougher ride with better cornering.

Interesting, I always hated the high profile look. That's why I put the 55s on mine, because it doesn't look quite as much like... well... a commuter car!
