shocks and springs and none of them are the same size

i want to get springs for my car but all i can find are lowering springs, which will eventually kill my shocks. so i need to change my shocks also, i found kyb shocks but they are made to go with stock ride height, same problem, what springs can i ge to match the kyb shocks and struts?

i dont really want coilovers beacause i cant aford them - i can get stuts and shocks for about 200 and springs for about the same. what do you guys recommend?

Scrap the plans and save for coilovers.

Don't waste $400 plus $60 for an alignment. Put that $460 in the bank and get a real suspension setup.

(Backstory - I had springs and then coilovers. Not talking out of my ***. )

I would have to agree. I went the same route as Blacksheep. Save your money. Search around, you will find links to places for coilovers at a great price.

Tein H-Tech Springs will give you about 1.2 inches - 1.5 inches and wont kill your stock struts. Ive heard good things. Hell ive got S-techs on stock struts and they have been fine.

If you're preparing a Rally car, you might need to use the scale and balance.

In reality, you have a grocery getter. Install, get an alignment, and you're good.

How bad is it really when the shocks go out with lowering springs? I am almost positive mine are shot anyway from the stock springs and don't think it can get much worse. Just a lot of bouncing.

It doesn't matter what causes it, blown shocks are BAD. Your ride will suffer terribly, as will your handling. You can blow your shocks with an entirely stock suspension if you truly abuse it. Lowering springs just exascerbate the situation.

I'm hoping the Progress springs will feel better than Ebay springs. I've learned my lesson with that site.

Newsflash - my buddy cracked his rear windshield driving around on blown shocks. So, uh, be careful?
