I just got my perches and progress bar in, and while going through the different parts and figuring where they would go, I noticed something. The 6 gold "Mitsubishi Motors Genuine parts" bolts that came with the bar (to mount the perches onto the body?) are missing their nuts. Lil red, did your package come with the nuts or did you use the OEM nuts? Are the right sized nuts something Home Depot would carry?

don't sweat it, dude. Use the OEM bolts that connect the perches to the body. I just used some blue ( medium strength ) locktite when i re-connected the new perches for a little added security

Did you have any trouble getting the new bar in? Mine won't line up. I think I need to remove the muffler before it can go on..

i had a little trouble. I thought i put the bar on upside-down but it only goes one way. Removing the muffler is a definate necessity because it gives you so much more room. I had problems because i was on a lift and the suspension was fully released. I know now that if the car was on ramps or jacks, it would have been a lot easier.

Muffler bolts on and off correct? Shouldn't be much more to it than unbolting all four screws?

you are correct sir.

Just remove the bolts, remove the muffler and you're in business.

I myself have an ES and didn't have the OEM bolts. So I went to LOWE'S and bought six 3/8 1inch long bolts and a bag of washers and used those to mount the perches to the frame.
Instead of using a lift or jacks I went to Wal-Mart and bought a pair of Rhino Ramps for $30.00.

I didn't have to remove the muffler to bolt on the perche or endlink; didn't get in my way at all.
All together I spent about an hour on my back bolting and putting washers/bolts/bushing in place.

I gave it another go earlier today. The wheel well for the spare gets in the way of the bar. It won't line up because the bar pushes right up against the well. I thought it wouldn't be an issue especially since there was already a bar installed under there. Are there any other 06 owners out there who have tried the progress bar from RRM?

upside down huh? I can give it another go and turn it both ways. I'll come back to give the bad news in a few minutes.
