best tire under $100?

best tire under $100?

i'm looking for a 205/55/15's for under $100 a tire. well i was thinking of either the yokohama avs es100's or the dunlop sp sport 5000. whaddya think?

Dunlops.

Yokos tends to be softer on tires. Thus, eat up more treads.

go to tirerack.com and read the stats and comments. of course, you'll to adjust the comments from heavier or sportier cars.

Good point, I just like how Yokohamas handle, at the same time I like how long Dunlops will last.

i just got the Potenza RE750.. AMAZING tire.. just had them put on last week.. and with my TEIN coilovers and fresh alignment.. it feels as if im riding on rails..

those yokohama's and those dunlops are both great tires... i think you will be happy with either

Personally, anything under 60 smackers per tires w/o S&H is a good budget.

Anything beyond or pushing near 100 bucks, I'll have to think: "Am I pushing this much power now? Will I run my car through a corkscrew half the time going to work? etc"

Just like people buying up toyo . . . those soft tires get burned up so fast. Getting new tires and mounting them periodically is pretty much inefficient use of time.

Let me know what you think of whichever kind you get. I was thinking of getting the Yokos or something along that line when my stock ones wear out, if I keep the OZs as my street rim.

I have AVS ES100s, and I would recommend them to anyone....
