'03+ EVO aftermarket wheels on '08 Lancer GTS

Has anyone tried fitting aftermarket or OEM '03+ Evo wheels to a '08 Lancer GTS? I've only seen 17x7.5 wheels offered in the 17" sizing instead of 17x8 like Evo's have.

It has 46mm of offset. Clearance from the top of the tire to the fender's edge is approx. 2.5in.

If you have a 5x114.3 PCD, that might get you close to 05+ STI aftermarket rims. There offsets are in the same area. If you are 5x100 then that would be 04 STI/WRX fitments.

I just threw on my Ralliart R-01's from my Evo's shoe collection. I immediately took them off. My R-01's are 18 x 8.5 +30. They came out of the front fender by about 20mm. Looked like an off-road vehicle. Not my cup of tea.

^ man thats not promising since i'm thinking about going a lower offset than that. Kmx was your car lowered at the time? if not...once you lower it you'll introduce some negative camber...it could look better. you didn't happen to snap any pics did you?

No, sorry. I was just so heartbroken when I saw the wheel/tire protruding out I just took it right off. And to top it all off I just noticed a bit of curb rash on one of my rear rims on the GTS.

But that makes me very happy. =)

Gives me the excuse to pick up these:

Going to get them in Hyper Black 18 x 7.5 +42.

OOOOOOOO Those are sick. I want a set of rims so bad I can taste it But there are to many mods coming out like pulley and ECU that get me the speed I need. Its a toss up I could get a cheaper set of rims or these two mods.

yeah someone I know tried the evo wheels and they stuck out pretty far. Im gonna take a guess and say that we will probably have to stick with offsets in the 40's with stock widths.

I'm gonna put some spacers on my wheels to see just how low of an offset we could sport
