Crazy thought, why not raise the car up a bit? If you're so low you're hitting the oil pan, a skid plate won't be that big of a help. the main purpose of a skid plate is to stop rocks and such from hitting the underside, not the underside hitting the ground.

altho i like a lowered car i would have to say that is way to low. it would have to be a reinforced steel box that went over the oil pan otherwise its still going to crush like it would without a plate on it.

never heard of a skid plate for a lancer either...a couple of my friends have them on their volkswagens after the oil pans were ripped off and they haven't had a problem since...so it could work because they are just as low

Laile Beatrush is one of the companies that make one for the EVO's... but they only list evo's, no other Lancer models... anyone think that it might fit?

Doubt it and I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money to find out.

^ just drill the holes out to be ovals so you have some room for adjustment...could use some 1/8 inch sheet aluminum. Dunno how long it'll last dragging against things tho...

just try and find any garage in your area that does rally cars...

or, take down your plastic "skid plates" and use a big piece of cardboard to make a template, bring it to any metal shop and ask them to build you a plate... usually you want 1/8" aluminum at least, if you want to go crazy, use 3/8"
