By the way, when yu say the stretched tires affect the handling slightly...I plan to do a few track days and such, so handling is important, Should I thus get 225 or something wider? Any dangers of pushing the stretched tire hard in cornering? Would it give out under pressure?

the offset is 48mm & i haven't had any issues at all. not one rub or anything. i havent felt any difference in handling, but then again im not pushing the limits either (thats what i have my Gixxer for!). i doubt im going to lower it, but i think im going to get slightly larger tires. i want that squared off look again

im getting 235/45r18 on my 8,5 inch wide wheels 225/45r18 looks small on those so i think 215 on a 8" wheel will look too eurostreched for a lancer!

Uh....you might want to rethink that tire size. 235/45/18 is a giant tire and I would be shocked if you got away without any rubbing. To put it into perspective, I'm using 235/40/17 for my car.

yeah, it would mess with the speedo unless you got it reprogrammed.

For a 235 you would want a 40 series at the most if not a 35. Check tire diameter vs stock.

You'd most likely want to go 235/40/18. It's a better fit and closer to stock ratio. Again, you might get rubbing with a tire that wide.
