Which wheel set would you consider for the evo x conversion kit.

well im going to order the evo x conversion kit which is pretty much a widebody..

quick question is the evos wheels set different than the GTS? i think because of the widebody i want to go with slightly wider wheels than the stock ones..which would you reccomend?

im going with the TSW Kyalami

Just slapping wider wheels isn't always a good answer. The Evo actually has a wider track, which is why it has a wider body. Might want to make sure they'll fit on the car and not rub anything.

Then don't put a widebody kit on an economy car.
Or plan ahead and make sure the bigass wheels you want fit.

Those are the only two options I see.

depends on what conversion kit you are gettting
if it is the one from Accolade, then it needs 1 inch wider rims than the Lancer model.

i don't knwo the width of the wheels on the lancer model though, so that's a problem
Evo Xs use 18x8.5 though

do you think one inch wider would rub? or run into any problems?

Not sure. Not many folks have run an 18.5" wheel yet. And since you'd be doing it with a widebody kit, I have NO CLUE. Sorry...

not 100% true... you can also play with the offset and still use stock width with different offset... that would be cheaper on rubber too

OH and dont even THINK about spacers please... there was a guy trying to do this with spacers and thats not the purpose of them

That wouldnt help at all because the evo and the base lancer have different wheel base, so for the lancer it will tell you wheels for the lancer and for the evo it will tell you wheels for the evo, but it wont have a "lancer with evo kit that wants wider wheels" option

why do you want to look like an evo anyways? ive never understood that... you will understand when a real evo or an sti revs the egine at you and you just have to act like you didnt hear him

anyways back to topic, do some research on offsets

[QUOTE=EkTOR;5692812]not 100%

SORRY, I messed up the quote when I edited!!

Why be so harsh on the boy?? Sorry but I had to laugh on the "you will understand when a real evo or an sti revs the egine at you and you just have to act like you didnt hear him" PART.

Damn thats a low blow, anyways I am planning to get a conversion to the GT Concept from body-kits or the X conversion mentioned her too. I think it makes the car look better, not because I want to be like an EVO.
