Good wheel/tire combination.
I have a 2002 lancer es.
I want to put 17's on it.
But I don't want to break the bank.
Looking to spend about 600-700 out the door.
The color is that maroon red color (don't know the exact name)
Looking for silver or black.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Travis

Here's an example, this is a decent tire in a 205/40/17 size (almost perfect match for the stock diameter).
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=4
85$ a tire.
Purely as a means of assessing cost, here's a set of 17 x 7.5 Rotas. http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=5728
650$
That brings the total to 990$.
If you go with a 16" wheel, the cost is 86$ a tire (same tire in a 205/45/16 size) and 495$ for a set of rims (http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1236) which brings the total to 839$.
If you go with a 15" wheel, the cost is 85$ a tire (same tire in a 205/55/15 size) and 418$ for a set of rims (http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=153) for a total of 758$.

I like the Hankook HR II. I've had them on the car for 5 years and they are great! I am getting a new set this summer.

i have 4 set of rims...15 16 17s.
i like 15s the best for ride quality. my first set of rims were rota c10s with kuhmo ecsta tires. 205/50/15. my current setup right now is bf goodrich g sport tires with work emotion rims. the tires and rims were the exact same size as my old rotas. i find that the works feel more durable than the rotas and are the best combination in my opinion.
