Control Arm Bushings

I searched and only found threads from 2005-2006; they said that no one makes replacement bushings for our control arms? Are you kidding me.
Has anything developed since then? Poly-Urethane? If I have to replace them where should I look: (I suspect that the dealer will charge an arm and a leg for their soft crappy ones that fall apart after 100,000 km anyway).
I have 108,000 kilometers on my car and the suspension is shot. I can't believe it.
I'm thinking new shocks and struts, end link bushings, and possibly control arm bushings.
Any suggestions?

I haven't seen any. Your best best is to just pick up some aftermarket replacement arms.

Have your control arm bushings been falling apart? That is weird since they are some of the longer lasting bushings on the car.

Nonetheless, you would want to find a Superpro dealer near you (or conversely, one online) and hope the wait time is bearable. This is for the CH-body style Lancer (05-08)

SPF1715K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Front Bushing
SPF3112K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Eccentric Bushing
SPF3113K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Eccentric Bushing
SPF3111K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Bushing
SPF2292BK Front Sway Bar Link Bushing Kit
SPF1451K Front Sway Bar Mount Bushing

You can probably get the sway bar endlink kit from Energy and save you international waiting time and shipping. Other than that, just get the kit.

Strangely enough, I dont see any for the CG Lancer (02-03).

Thanks for the help!

This is for the CH-body style Lancer.

SPF1715K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Front Bushing
SPF3112K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Eccentric Bushing
SPF3113K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Eccentric Bushing
SPF3111K Front Control Arm Lower - Inner Rear Bushing
SPF2292BK Front Sway Bar Link Bushing Kit
SPF1451K Front Sway Bar Mount Bushing

Do these part numbers apply to a 2005 OZ Rally (4g94)? Not sure if I have the "CH-Body style Lancer" you stated?

Thanks again.

I checked energysuspensionparts.com for swaybar end links.

TO FIT/SELECT THE PROPER SET-
Length of 'A' Part Number

1" 98122
1-5/8" 98120
2" 98123
2-3/8" 98125
2-5/8" 98117
2-7/8" 98118
3-3/8" 98119
3-9/16" 98124
4-1/4" 98149
4-1/2" 98121

Any idea what size guys?

I'm sorry to confuse. I'll edit the original post.

CH style is the 05-08 style, so those are good for you.
CG body style is the 02-03.

Can you take your tyre off and take approximate measurements? It'll probably help the rest of this community as well if you can get those measurements. I know the 9.8105 was the replacement for the Mirage bushings and the entire kit was the 9.8120 ... unknown if this will work for the Lancer though. May be worth a shot to try. The bushings cost about 10 bucks.

Yes 91820 is the correct one (comes with the thru-bolt, washers, and bushings).

When we are on the topic of control arms, are there any companies who make aftermarket sets?

Not for the stock lancers (ES/OZ/LS), all you can find are just slightly better-than-stock replacements. Best bang for the buck is Rockauto.com.

People have been toying around with trying out the eurethane bushings for the EVOs out on the base lancers to see if they'll work, but no one's done it yet...
