Brake Calipers

Hey

Right now I dont have the money to get a new brake system. So I was thinking about just spray painting the Calipers on each wheel for that more sporty look and maybe so they do not rust. Is this a good idea or will it screw everything up? I dont know a ton about brake systems and was looking for some input. has anyone ever done this?

I've done this, just go to autozone or pepboys and buy the Caliper Ceramic Paint KIT in the color you want... They come with brake cleaner, tape, ceramic paint resistant to high heat, and everithing you need to paint your calipers. It cost like $24 or less. I have them painted for about 11 months and no rust or paint chips falling out.. Give it a try!

Look at my car..

Ya you should be fine. You can even use the spray paint method and still be fine. If you do get paint on the disc it will burn off around +- 50km.

You will have to reapply the paint after every summer to stop fading and chipping.

Just dont do this lol

Get the kit that comes with a brush instead of the spray can. Apply several thick coats and it will last a long time.
