Help with springs
Hey guys I know nothing about lowering a car so coming here for help.
I drive a stock 09 ES (stock rims too) and I wanted to drop it.
I wanted the car to look like it is leaning forward or higher in the back, I dont know if I said it right or if there is a name for it.
Anyways I live in Miami and the roads here are pretty smooth for the most part and I dont plan to be doing any offroading or taking any really bumpy streets or racing, I just want the car to look nicer and I want to put some 18" rims in the future.
So, I know someone who installs dropzone springs, or drop"something" springs. I have no asked him how much it drops the car but anyways he sells them for $100+labor.
Will the dropzone springs work? can you just cut the springs if the drop is too little or something? What should I tell this guy when I see him, or do you guys not reccomend the dropzone* springs, or what?
And also I have some speakers in the back (box + speakers weight around 140 pounds) in case that affects it somehow?

Never never cut springs playa and drop zone springs are cheap s***. Go Eibach, works springs, H&R springs, RRM springs, If your looking for that rake look Eibach is like 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the back.

Hey guys I havnt looked much into this but I looked at my car today and the subwoofers already lower it by the back a lot... but there is a huge wheel gap in the front, can I just lower the front, but springs for the front of the car only and leave the stock springs in the back? I dont want to lower the back any more than it already is, and the front maybe ~1.5-2 inches (not sure, dont know how 1.5 or 2 inches looks).
I have heard that cars with stiffer springs in the back dont have issues and most people with looser springs still say they have no problems so I dont know what to do.
I am also never going to race this car, I dont peel out (not like I can anyways) but Im just looking to give my car the look it lost with the subs. this leaning forward look.
In other words, not looking for a performance gain out of this, just looks.
Ill post some pictures up tomorrow so you guys can see how my car sits now.
Looking for some advice thanks guys.

You can't, well I suppose you COULD only drop the front but I would not reccomend it. The suspension would be all over the place considering the stock springs are going to have a different load vs Eibach etc. I'm not a suspension guru and maybe someone can chime in on this but I would think this would be a big nono. I would look at the Eibach Pro-kit, it will lower the gap but not dramatically. See, the thing is, you keep saying you want this strictly for looks but springs are made with handling specifically in mind. There is no spring kit "Just to close that wheel gap" the purpose behind them is to improve the cars ability to handle.

Yea I am going to put the whole drop kit in te future. When I went to install my muffler the other day there was a guy putting a muffler on his 08 lancer and he had the pro kit on. It didn't look exactly like I wanted it to look but he also has 2 12s in the trunk anyways I'm probably gonna go with the pro kit. I been reading online and I see why I can't do what I wanted.
Thanks for all the help guys appreciate it
