Scraped crap out of rims, can it be repaired?

Scraped crap out of rims, can it be repaired?

Tonight i was backing out of a parking spot and scraped the crap out of my rims on a curb bc i had only and inch of room bc the truck on my other side does not knw how to park. Two of the spokes on my 17s got pretty scraped by the lip of te rim. How could i fix this?

There really isnt a great way to repair a wheel once it is damaged. They go through a paint process just like cars do. Primer, base coats, clears, buffing etc etc. Some wheel shops can fix them, however, they really aren't the same after that. I have a source for new wheels if you end up needing new ones

do you know roughly how much it would cost to fix it this way?

hey, when i purchased my EVO, i bought the tire and rim warranty for like 230 bucks extra on the car. Since you have seemed to scratched it pretty bad, best thing to do if you have this warranty, is to try and grab a crow bar or a hammer and bend your rim and have the warranty replace it all together

You might want to contact Motetgi and see what they say. They might refinish it for you.

i have motegi's they wont do anything for free. all you can do as far as cost effective is buy some new rimms.

I just wrote up a thread on how to fix scuffed rims.
It's a lot easier than you'd think! I did it on my rims and it took my brother (who is a car and perfection freak) nearly a minute to even locate the repair in the least when he was six inches from the wheel and searching for it.
