Question Will stock tires fit on aftermarket wheels?

I have 2012 Lancer GT I was wondering if my stock tires would fit on the rims I have picked out on tirerack.com. The specifications are: Offset: +43mm Backspacing: 6.14" Bolt Pattern: 5-114 Rec. Tire Size:225/45-18 Weight: 27.0lbs.

It will fit but your tire will be stretched. The stock 18 inch tire is a 215/45-18. The rim you want requires a 225/45-18 tire from what I can see. But as you didnt post the actual wheel size. Like 18x7.5 or 18x8 there is no way for me to tell for certain. Check in tire rack the specs on the OEM tires and see what range of wheel they are meant for. Should say something like fits 7 to 8.5 inch wide wheels. That is what you need to look at first. Then you can decide on an actual rim size.

I just checked the stock tire and it says it will fit up to an 8 in wheel, but is there any disadvantage or problems pushing it to the max like that?

It not fitting the rim properly and working itself off during hard turns.
