Brake Rotor Warp

Just over a year and my rotors are warped. That can't be normal, any ideas as to why this may have occurred? I am currently running twin piston calipers and larger rotors on my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. Centric High Carbon Plain 125 Series Rotors were installed along with Hawk HPS Street Pads. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

rapid cooling maybe. extreme braking then driving into a puddle can do it.

It's rare for rotors to actually warp. Most all the time its built up pad material on the rotor and the pad is skipping over it during braking. That's the pulse you're feeling in the pedal. Take some sandpaper and lightly sand both sides of the rotor then re-bed the pads in. That should help solve the issue.

Thanks for the info, I read somewhere that this may only be a temporary fix. I actually ordered the rotors and pads from you guys, great service and quick shipping. Also, all my tires.

normal really depends on what driving you do.....

I put 24,000 miles on my car annually... and that is normal for me......

I have heard that tightening the wheel nuts too tightly can lead to warped rotors.
