New Wheels for 2014 Lancer ES
Hey guys,
So I want to start off by saying I'm quite new to this, so I'm unsure about how to go about getting my new tires.
Not too long ago I bought a 2014 Lancer ES, and now that winter is coming I want to get a set of dedicated winter tires, then summer tires (I'm in Alberta, Canada, so brutal winters).
My budget isn't massive, but I quite like the XXR 530. They don't come in the stock 16x6.5J size, so I wasn't sure if I should go with their 16x8, or 17x7. Would either fit without any issues? I also don't have a single clue what I would need to do for offset..? Or how to set offset when I install them..?
Nor do I have a clue what size tires I should buy (still the stock 205x60x16 now.).
Any and all help would be BEYOND appreciated. Thanks!!

Your stock offset is +45 (kinda' rare, actually)...
Me? I would go for 17x7 (for summer) and use the stockies for winter
TireRack.com has a tire calculator for the size rim you select.
My guess is that it will say 225x50x17 for those rims (above)... You can use 45 or even 40 for lower profile tires
AND ensure you get the adapters (plastic rings) to be 'hub centered' and new lugs (you will need the semi-rounded bottom IIRC).
You could also find someone selling the Ralliart 18x7 wheels too (and keep your lugs/no hub adapter)
