Yeah, that's a much better price. It pays to shop around.

^ um... just dont do it. like i tell everyone else, a drop on the lancer isnt as drastic as everyone thinks. our lancers ride high like ***kin SUVs stock, so dropping it will still give you more than enough ground clearance. my oz is dropped on tein s.techs and i still have a good 6" of ground clearance. it's just good because you get rid of that nasty wheel gap.

Progress Springs. 17"s with 205/40's.

Since they are not stock, they will be a bit noisier when the suspension hits full travel. The taller, softer stock springs keeps the tension on the suspension. The only noise I ever hear is from hitting big bumps...nothing to concern me or make me question the purchase...

If you mean putting a spacer in between coils, that raises the car not lowers it. I don't think they make a temporary clamp for springs, and if you mean cutting them, that's definitely not a temporary situation. Best bet is to get coilovers (or at least the sleeves like Ground Control or Skunk2) since you can adjust the ride height fairly easily (take the wheels off, adjust height, then get an alignment)

You're wrong. They make both spacers and clamps. They are just like miniature spring compressors that hold the spring to make the car sit lower.

So then you could go either way. Not sure how it would affect handling and ride quality, but at least it gets better clearance for the snow season.
