right now he has an automatic tranny.

well when i did a 5 speed conversion on my old integra, i needed the following
tranny
shift linkage with shifter
axels (depending on application)
5 speed ecu
5 speed engine harness
5 speed pedal assembly
clutch cable

ummm i think thats about it. the only other thing you have to check is the tranny mount. i know that on hondas, the autmoatic tranny sits 1 inch higher (because its bigger). you have to make sure its the right height, otherwise you'll be snapping axels while racing/beating on the car. anyone else have input?

i heard something about having to relocate some of the sensors in the engine...I don't know how accurate this is but it is something to take into consideration...also anytime you crack open the tranny you can't forget to pick up some new gear oil...good luck with the swap though...keep everyone updated with your progress...

I know I mentioned this to you via AIM, but for anyone else looking to do this, the ECU's for the manual and auto transmissions are different. You will definitely need to swap ECU's and most likely have to swap harnesses as well. If not you'll at least need a complete diagram of all the pinouts, a blank harness, and a lot of spare time.

.L.'s description of his swap sounds about on par for this one so far as I know.

Not trying to be rude or anything but why did you spend extra money for an automatic just to convert it to a manual later? Seems like a waste to me.

What all costs have been involved, how much have you put into it?
