Main Entry: over·kill
Pronunciation: "O-v&r-'kil
Function: transitive verb
Definition: to obliterate (a target) with more nuclear force than required
Example (from me) - some people run colder spark plugs on high-performance vehicles. But if you run spark plugs that are so cold they inhibit proper combustion, that would be overkill.
