Yea 75k. Started hearing a weird *** noise about two weeks ago. My shop is telling me its my transmission dieing. WTF! They drained the fluid and the sound still lives on damnit!

Anyone else had this problem??! Any input is appriciated.

FYI- I never burnout or launch, on occasion i'll shift hard from 1st to 2nd but nothin crazy.

Do FWD Lancer engines even have a T-case? Lol.... Hey man I'm at 110k and my tranny is fine. A little notchy but still shifts fine. A New tranny costs like 200-300 from a junkyard, just get a used 30k mile one. www.car-part..com Good luck if you do have to get it replaced. it's not fun.

throw out bearing is most likely your issue.

We've been reading TOB issues on a weekly basis for a while now. I think Mistu screwed up somewhere in there design, or the choice of material.

If it is your transmission and you end up having to get a replacement, they're not terribly expensive. Finding a used one will set you back around 350-500 bucks. Gotta lurk XD
