Problem with bleeding the clutch...
well I just finished swapping a fresh motor into the lancer, and no matter how long I tried the clutch wouldnt bleed properly, open the bleeder screw slowing sink the peddle down to the floor, close the bleeder screw and slowly lift the peddles, and about every 10 times fluid would actually come threw the line, and I would never get any real clutch pedal pressure. so I went ahead and started the car and as soon as I started it the clutch got pressure again, this is very wierd can someone please explain... The new clutch setup just feels extremely soft compared to the old stock one that was in there...
Backstory, timing belt broke so I swapped the motor with one from an 06 lancer with 2000 miles also , replace the axels , clutch , slave cylinder , and a few other misc. parts...

I might be off my rocker on this one, but have you tried gravity bleeding? Just open the bleed at the slave and let it drip a few hours, leave the pedal alone making sure it's all the way up. Don't know if you can do it on this car but I do it on an old 300zx and it works great.

And keep the cover on!!!
Dont top it off with a bottle you had sitting around for ages. Only put in brand new stuff. If your bottle has been open for a some time, water and condensation got into it. Don't shove that crap in your system.
You said you got good pressure now? Is it still the case?
Are you sure you tightened the lines properly and no air is getting in?

yup put about 150 miles on it so far and its still functioning properly... I just think thats it wierd... I figure dont fix it if it aint broken... Still good to go after 6000 miles... Yes I do drive alot...
