What kind of lube comes with the B&M short shifter?
The reason I ask is because I used tubed white lithium grease for my Street Customs short shifter, and it made the shifts REALLY stick. The lube was VERY thick and almost gritty to me. Does anyone have any other recommendations for lube, or any other tips for the install? Any help is needed and QUICKLY as my car is still torn to pieces.
THANKS!

sorry. just a pet peeve when someone doesn't read the original thread first. and the auto parts store recommended the stuff that i already have, lithium grease. what i want to know is:
1. what type of grease comes with the b&m short shifter?
2. are the alternatives to lithium grease?
3. if the stick actually STICKS in gears (aka is hard to pull out or put in gear) is there something wrong with something else?
HELP!

Hey purecoda, I found the stuff that came with my B&M.. It's called Lubriplate and it's made by a company called "The Modern Lubricant". Hope this helps out man. I would think lithium would be ok.. But who knows.

thanks guys.
i asked my dealer a while back if occasional sticking was normal, and he said it was. only now, its a lot moreso... like every shift, especially first and second. i'm gonna leave the aftermarket shifter in, and hope he doesn't give me grief about it. he's been cool about everything else, so we'll see.
anybody else know much about a sticking shifter?

Check all the connections, lift up the carpet and check them all the way to the firewall. Make sure nothing is in the way, and that they have free movement. Just look at everything, then let me know if you see anything funny. I'll try and help ya out.
