here is the problem though.. it says 1.8model... umm.. correct me if im wrong, but there isnt a 1.8 model??
i would very much like a lightweight flywheel, so seeing this got me all excited.

I don't think RRM will. There's really no need either. Our flywheel's relatively light and the car revs pretty quickly.
At any rate, we have the same transmission and same clutch as the 1.8l Mirage, so it's a pretty safe bet. The only part that I know is different right now is the throwout bearing.

yeah, it does rev pretty quickly.. one thing i've noticed tho is the stock gauge is a litttle delayed with the rev's, is this normal? happen to everybody? im just assuming its the gauge. my friend said if i got a nice Defi gauge it would be alot more accurate.

I'm pretty sure that's more of a throttle response issue. I think it has to do with the transition from a stoich/lean idle to a relatively rich accel fuel. It's totally normal unless yours is seriously lagged.

Depends upon the material its made of. David Thomas of RPW has stated that the flywheel in the Lancer is already about as light as it's going to get and that further drilling/cutting to lighten it could easily result in fractures/failure. That means the only feasible option would replacement...assuming someone does make a flywheel for us (now or in the future) the material will be the determining factor in whether or not it has heat issues.

the flywheels for the 1.8L mirage and the lancer are the same.
Same Mitsubishi part number = same part
Mitsubishi part number MD749708
Fits CJ5A, CK5A, CS6A
1.8L mirage 2 door, four door, and lancer
