5 spd 2 6 spd
Has anyone ever tried, or wanted to try to put a 6spd in their OZ? To me it seems like a 6spd would work well in this drivetrain. And no I'm not converting an auto so dont even mention that, for some reason I just want that extra gear. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't see the need for another gear in this car. 1st pulls very nicely and so doea 2nd and 3rd, then 4th still has acceleration power. 5th can still increase speed, yet puts the car at the perfect RPM for highway cruising. On track, I rarely go into 4th gear as the car's lack of power doesn't get me much over 100 mph on a long straight. Maybe if you were going turbo, it would be a good idea, but I don't see a need for a change in even the drive ratio as the car is.

there is no need for 6 spd mating to an engine that mitsu made it conservative stock.
Heck, I do believed that BMW or MErcedes in the high class end cars have 7 spd auto tranny.
