A/C Problem Need Help.

Hows it going? well yesterday i was driving with my a/c on and all of a sudden it stoped blowing cold air, and it was making a weird whistleing noise? i checked the fuse for the a/c but its fine. its not even blown out. I live in The desert area and its Always hot as hel out here. And now i dont know what happen. Do anyone of u guys know what is wrong of if this ever happen to u?

Same thing happened to me. I think my compressor just died. Best thing is to take it in to an independent AC guy and have him check it out.

just had a recall on some of the Lancers for something with the AC. Just take it to your dealership and have them check it out. My blower motor resistor broke (which is what is being recalled) and was replaced. Have the dealership check it out and hopefully you still have your factory warranty.

here is what u do... pop the hood... with the engine running... a/c off look at the a/c and you are going to be able to see this metal thing (right at the end after the belt!) on the front of it its like a triangilar metal cap or something... when the a/c is off that stays with no movement.. then turn on your a/c and see if it spins... if it spins that meens that the magnet inside the a/c is working maybe you just have a leak and no more gas inside the a/c... if it doesnt spin then you'r magnet dont work and thats when u take it to the dealer....
