the same thing just happened to me on wednesday, during the great ice storm of 2003 in tx.. i went out drivin when my mommy advised me to stay in, and after a total of maybe an hour of driving, nothing went wrong, and as i was braking to the stop sign where i turn onto my street, i just started skidding to the right and of course, theres a cement drainage ditch there, so i hit my tire and rim on it, and bend the control arm.. luckily my friend in his f250 drove by like 2 minutes later and pulled me out, but i (actually, my parents ) still have to pay for a new tire and repairs..

I ****ed my left front C4 in a pothole slowing down to pay at a tollgate. Funny, the Kumho tire held tight for about a week afterwards. Had to replace all 4 rims and tires, but I wanted 18"s anyway.
